What was I saying?
I don’t quite know how to describe who I am or what this blog will be about in an easy to consume bite size package. Not because I am particularly interesting, or have too much vital knowledge to spread, but most likely because I am an awful storyteller and I just can’t make a conclusive decision about what to share. (traits that make for a fantastic blogger, btw).
So, I’ll give you the long story.
I am a New York native residing on the upper east side of Manhattan. I am half Finnish/ Half Scottish so with that math I am 100% American. I recently moved back to the city after a 7 year hiatus of living in Finland and very briefly the Netherlands (so brief in fact it feels like a fever dream). But after all that I decided to leave Finland and move back unknowingly 3 months before a global pandemic was about to strike.
What a way to get reacquainted with the Family…
Timing is everything in life and damn if i wasn’t looking for a reason to do fuck all and be pushed to start this blog, not many people will find due to my also very useful skill of being shit at social media.
I hope to share a bit of my travels (pre-pandemic), hopefully you can find some inspiration for your future adventures and some good tips here and there. Also, some local insights into New York. I’ve very recently acquired a taste for the outdoors and hiking so maybe you’ll see some posts about various trails. I would also like to share some books, TV shows, podcasts and other various types of entertainment to hopefully start a conversation on your faves too! We’ll see where this goes but I mostly want to thank you if you’ve read this far. Good on you, and happy reading!
